“Let the boy inside you grow up, become a man”

In almost every tradition, when a boy grew up he passed from the care of his mother to the protection of his father. From then on, as a young man, he experienced male life. And when he was ready for adulthood, he underwent an initiation that gave him full-fledged belonging to the manhood.

This process has been disturbed in the modern world. As a result, men are afraid of their masculinity and they escape into aggression or effeminacy. Similar to women who fear their femininity and mask it with an unhealthy, false self-sufficiency.

Workshops for men in the Dolomites are designed to:

find the joy and courage of being a man,

take and give without fear and guilt,

feel the full belonging and regain identity,

find courage, respect, gratitude and faith

Cut off from the mother (that is, from the wife, partner, lover, friend, etc.), reliant only on ourselves and the group, we will experience genuine contact with nature. We will see what power stillness and silence have. Where the limit of our endurance is and how we can cross it. During the exercises and rituals, we will feel how important I am to another person and how important he is to me. We will look for what is real in us and what only seems to be so.

In order to, by drawing from our roots, like warriors after a long, dangerous expedition, return to our partners and children, like husbands to wives and fathers to children, and not like boys returning under the wings of mother.

WHERE

Caralte di Cadore, which is a lovely small town, located in the picturesque Veneto Region, in the Italian Dolomites.

WHEN

21 – 27 July

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

- arrival: Sunday 21st July in the evening

- mountain trek: from early morning up till 3-4 p.m.

- group workshops: from 5 p.m. to 8/9 p.m. (conducted outdoors or inside, depending on the weather)

- night stays in the mountains: two day long mountain trips sleeping in the open air or under tents

- departure: Saturday 27th July in the morning

PRICE

3800 DKK (510 EUR) - workshop

1500 DKK (200 EUR) - accommodation (we will stay in a cozy old house situated in the downtown area, the rooms are for 2-4 persons each)

1500 DKK (200 EUR) - approximate cost of food (three meals a day which we are going to prepare on our own)

TRANSPORT

Participants must make their own travel arrangements. The best way is to arrive by car. Another possibility is to come by flixbus from Munich to Tai Di Cadore which is located 6km from the workshop location. Contact Natalia if you need help in arranging transportation.

Book a workshop space via e-mail or phone. Due to required pre-booking of the accommodation and a limited number of places, we kindly ask you to make a decision and prepay the total workshop cost (3800 DKK) by 01 July. (If you cancel your participation at the workshop later than 14 days before the start day, the payment will not be refunded.) The remaining amount is to be paid by bank transfer no later than 15 July.

Priority to participate in the workshop is given to people who have already worked with Przemek Dobak, later, priority will be given to those who have made payment*.

Organizer reserves the right to cancel the workshops for reasons beyond their control. If the workshop is canceled by the organizer, the participant will receive a refund of the full paid amount.

*In exceptional circumstances, the organizer reserves the right to refuse the cooperation without specifying the reason.
